The Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is located in the Yorkshire Dales, on the eastern flanks of the Pennines. The area is known for its beautiful scenery, with deep dales, woodlands, reservoirs and moorland. There are also many interesting stone settlements, like Lofthouse and Kirkby Malzeard, which contrast with the wilder landscape.

The Brimham Rocks are a particularly fascinating feature of the landscape. These strange rock formations are made of gritstone and are a popular destination for tourists and climbers.

The Nidderdale AONB is a popular place for walking, cycling and horse riding. There are many different routes to explore, ranging from easy strolls to more challenging hikes. The area is also popular with birdwatchers, as there are many different species of birds to be seen, including peregrine falcons, kestrels and sparrowhawks

Studley Royal Water Garden: A Georgian water garden, created in the 18th century. The garden is a World Heritage Site.
