Oundle

Oundle

Oundle is a market town in North Northamptonshire on the left bank of the Nene River.

Oundle was held by the Crown until 1399 when King Richard II gave it to William Lord Latimer who founded Oundle School there 50 years later. A new hall was built for him over part of the foundations of the old town Hall, which had been bought by his father, Robert Lord Latimer.
