Hendon

Hendon is a district in the London Borough of Barnet. It is located 5.7 miles north of Charing Cross. Hendon was historically a market town in Middlesex and has a very long history. The area is perhaps most famous for its association with aviation, as the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) main training base was located at RAF Hendon from 1920 to 1995.

Today, Hendon is a major commercial and administrative centre, with many large businesses located in the area. The district also has a thriving Jewish community, with several synagogues and kosher restaurants.

If you’re looking for things to do in Hendon, there are plenty of options. The RAF Museum is a popular tourist attraction, as is the nearby Brent Reservoir. There are also several parks and open spaces in the area, including the beautiful Gladstone Park.
