The village of Carisbrooke in Newport on the Isle of Wight is a popular tourist destination.

Carisbrooke boasts a number of historic landmarks including Carisbrooke Castle and St Mary’s Church

The castle is a well-preserved royal fortress which was once used as a prison for Charles I. While the church is a beautiful medieval building with many interesting features
