Willow Flea Beetle

Latin name: Crepidodera aurata

The head and dorsal plate or pronotum are red or copper, edged by green or blue. The wing cases or elytra are uniformly green or blue-green and are covered in tiny dots.

The beetles can be found on various species of Willow and may be found wherever Willows grow. They can be seen all year round, but are most active from spring to autumn. They can be found hibernating under bark or among debris in and around logs.
