Kingfisher

Kingfisher

Latin name: Alcedo atthis

A small, bright-blue bird with a red front and long beak. Kingfishers can be found along rivers, ponds and lodges in the area and it seems to me they are more common area each year. The male has a black beak but the female has a black beak with red base.
