Chimney Sweeper

Chimney Sweeper

Latin name: Odezia atrata

The Chimney Sweeper moth is a daytime flyer, especially in sunny weather. The wings are black with tiny white borders on the tips though older Chimney Sweeper moths may fade to a dull brown colour. A favourite food plant for the Chimney Sweeper moth is Pignut but it also feeds on other plants from the same family.
